For 25 years, Teresa M. Young has supported new entrepreneurs entering the digital sign and graphics industry, originally as mentor and trainer while operating her own sign business (1986-1992). In 1996, she received recognition as a Semi-Finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, sponsored by Ernst & Young LLP, USA Today, and NASDAQ. Teresa was elected to the Board of Directors for the International Sign Association (ISA) in 2001. She became the first woman in the Association's 60-year history to hold the Chairman's position ( 2007). She founded the LobbyPOP video signs division in 2005, and established the EcoSignage.org resource site in 2006. She has created a generous and open culture throughout the organization. PAUL K. STRAUCH VP WORLDWIDE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Paul is responsible for developing special programs with industry manufacturers and major distributors of sign products, supplies, equipment and software for the Sign Biz Network. He has been with Sign Biz since 1991, and has grown the vendor program with exclusive discounts and more than 750 preferred vendors. In addition, Paul has more than 30 years in commercial and industrial real estate, as both owner and principal broker, in Hawaii, as well as in New York. He is particularly qualified to provide valuable guidance and instruction to new Sign Biz dealers for site selection, demographic analysis and lease negotiations. Paul contributes his expertise in real estate, marketing, and vendor programs both prior to as well as during the Sign Biz Training Program provided to new store owners.
GREG SALZANO VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
After years in the print industry, Greg took a full-time role in the Sign Biz organization in 2002, and became the key individual responsible for guiding entrepreneurs through due diligence and loan process, all the way to store opening, and beyond. He is a dedicated industry professional who provides critical insight into the sign business, which improves the research and pre-opening process for Sign Biz candidates ten-fold. Extremely experienced in SBA-backed loans, his guidance is instrumental to each new entrepreneur as they proceed through the Sign Biz business development process. To date, more than $19,000,000 in SBA-backed financing has been secured for our start-ups.
DAVID MCCUTCHEON DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT
In 1996, David was the Senior Buyer with a electronics broker company. Soon rising to the position of Systems Administrator, he managed corporate platforms down to the desktop system. He joined the Sign Biz team in 2005 to provide networking assistance, hardware and software diagnosis and repair, IT management, and to assure each new custom sign making and POS system is built to rigid specifications. He manages technical support staff, is a Microsoft Partner, and an Advanced Roland Technician. Sign Biz Members offer great compliments for his expertise and good nature. He also maintains the Network's electronic message service, wherein Members communicate instantaneously with all other Network Members around the globe at the touch of the 'send' button.
KATE MANNEY COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Kate maintains the coordinated activities of Communications, Business Development, Education Services and Technical Research. She ensures that each Sign Biz Member has manuals, marketing materials, website services, equipment, and more as needed, and on time. While new owners are in California for their Formal Training Program, they rely upon Kate for logistics and curriculum. She keeps them organized and maintains efficient systems for the company. Formerly an educator, now all Sign Biz Members have a terrific resource in Kate as she builds press releases for any and all events and milestones as they occur. In this way, the marketing program taught by Sign Biz is facilitated by Kate's gift of the written word.
