Sign Biz, Inc., founder of the largest non-franchise sign chain in the US, again  produced a fresh, innovative and relevant program for business owners and their staff at their annual Sign Biz International Convention, dubbed “the Reunion.” Concurrent with the convention, the Milestone Awards recognize business owners who demonstrate leadership and who achieved industry productivity benchmarks. The 2011 awards ceremony was held on April 30th at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Teresa M. Young (L), President and CEO of the 21- year-old company, introduced the awards, “Acknowledging sales milestones and performance of Sign Biz Members is a long-standing tradition at the Sign Biz Reunion. We are pleased to announce winners in every tier this year!”
 Young then ushered a new Member into the Century Club for realizing sales of $100,000 or more in a single month, for the first time, Tom Carr (L), owner of SIGNWorks based on Monterey, CA, for sales exceeding $125,000 in the month of October, 2010.
Carr was also recognized as a new member of the Sign Biz® International $750,000 Milestone Club, for superior sales revenues exceeding $800,000 in 2010.
The 500K Club recognizes those who achieve annual sales in excess of a half-million dollars for the first time. Jeff & Kim Thomas, Crossroad Sign, based in Woodinville, WA were inducted for annual sales of $503,103 for the period ended 3/31/11.
Million-Dollar Milestone Club And finally, in keeping with the Sign Biz Network’s consistent superior performance, two new Million-Dollar-Milestone Club Members were added to the long list of such achievers in the chain. Young announced, “We applaud the newest Members of the Million Dollar Milestone Club for annual sales exceeding $1 Million! Congratulations on this special award recognizing your extraordinary accomplishments in the past year and providing the services, products, management, leadership and staff that earned this milestone.”
Josh Shearer, owner of Architectural Sign Identity, Inc. was honored as a Member of the Sign Biz International Million-Dollar Club. Located in San Jacinto, CA, he racked up sales in excess of 1.5 Million in 2010, providing high quality ADA and architectural sign products since 1990, when Don & Debbie Shearer, Josh’s parents, opened the business with Sign Biz, Inc.’s assistance.
 Adding to the sizzle, Young inducted a second Member into the Sign Biz International Million-Dollar-Milestone Club: Chris Meeker of Imagine Graphics, based in Eugene, Oregon (pictured, left) was on hand to receive this honor, and gave credit to his team in the business.
To date, more than 22 Sign Biz Member companies have been inducted into the Million Dollar Milestone Club for annual sales in excess of $1 Million. Young acknowledged that while she has always been gratified by her network members’ strong work ethic and outstanding contributions to the industry throughout the years, she was particularly heartened this year by the entrepreneurs’ exceptional resilience, great philanthropy, and continuing thrust towards growth.
