SIGN BIZ® ADVISORY BOARD ANNUAL RETREAT
October's Meeting in San Diego Plans Reunion of 2004

The Sign Biz Advisory Board met on October 11th to address diverse subjects such as Reunion of 2004 plans and rising insurance costs.

San Diego, Calif., (October 11, 2003) - The Advisory Board meeting of October 11th in San Diego, CA was a resounding success, and plans are well underway for the Reunion of 2004.  Saturday's full day meeting was preceded by a welcome reception on Friday night with 20 Advisory Board members hosted by Teresa M Young and Paul Strauch of Sign Biz.  After the meeting adjourned, everyone was a guest for a gourmet dinner at Kemo Sabes restaurant.

Present were: Fred Barbaria, Sue Chesler, Steve & Cheryl Dunn, Jon Hoffman, Hal Kameya, Les Lewis, Paul Muenzen, Greg Owen, Bill & Fran Potts, Steve Scalph, Paul Williams, Peter & Carolyn Wolf , Paul Strauch,  and Teresa Young. Eleven of the twelve Advisory Board regions were represented by the group in attendance.

The first agenda item was to ratify four new Advisory Board members: Sue Chesler, Hal Kameya, Les Lewis, and Greg Owen, who is pictured here receiving his plaque from Sign Biz president, Teresa M Young.  "The commitment and contributory nature of this board is inspiring," states Young. "It is a great example of what can be accomplished when people work toward a common goal."

One of the Advisory Board's goals is to build the Sign Biz Network's resources, whether in terms of new product offerings, training programs, mentoring structures or annual conventions, dubbed "Reunions" to convey the fellowship that is such an important part of these events.

The first half of the meeting was devoted to planning the 2004 Sign Biz Reunion, to be hosted on Disney property in Orlando next April. Other Agenda topics included establishing guidelines for the Live Store Training Program, reviewing past conventions' P&L statements, the Sign Biz video library, regional survey results, and venue for next year's Advisory Board meeting in the fall.

A great meeting must be followed by a great dinner, and the Advisory Board was treated to one of the finest at Kemo Sabes in San Diego.
