Dana Point, Calif., (June 1, 2003) -

Where does the Sign Biz Network go every day to find instant answers and great information?

They log onto their computer!

The Sign Biz Network enjoys not only a private Website where industry knowledge is archived, but also a private communication system that gives all Members a healthy dose of B2B communication every day.  It was a benchmark project to put industry intelligence in the hands of Network Members, from Members, beta test committees, and the Sign Biz company offices.  It was founded in 1999, and dubbed, "The Sign Biz Town Hall: Meeting the Needs of All Members." Today, being on the computer is a lively -- and productive-- place for the store owner.

All 7 geographic regions of the Sign Biz Network have an opportunity to forge the upcoming convention agenda for 2004, and Advisory Board Members solicit input from the Network using this communication intranet.

The Sign Biz Town hall boasts some more features to enjoy: The numerous contributions of Member sources for artwork now are archived in the system's "files" and "links" areas, for instant access.  In addition, full copies of each month's  ReadMe.File newsletters are all online in the private "Town Hall"; Very cool marketing pages have been posted; Legal and industry news articles are up; And the Calendar features events through the end of the year, including 7 seminars/events for September.

All new and existing Network Members are enrolled at no charge, as pointed out by Greg Salzano, VP Business Development,  "(1) To fuel further economic growth. The site sustains a pace usually reserved for action thrillers! (2) Appeals to both the left and right sides of the brain with Member contributions & sharpened by stunning images and brilliant editing. (3) Designed only for Network Members, because they are smarter than your average entrepreneur! (4) This is an asset that taps important traditions and leaves no community behind."

It's Time to Move Up to 7.0

The Sign Biz Formal Training Program, in its 11th year as part of a certification in Sign Arts, is known for its thoroughness and its applicability to the small business environment today. This year, in response to so many Network Members who upgraded their FlexiSign PRO signmaking software from 6.x to the new Flexi 7.0, a complete, 6.5 hour MPEG CD set was created. Featured throughout the 5-CD set is Mark Rugen, the foremost trainer in the country for this industry software and related programs.

Developed especially to highlight a comparison between prior versions of Flexi and the new 7.0, it also features a CASmate-friendly interface for those Members who may still be utilizing the discontinued software.  "The MPEG format makes it a useful and handy tool for review by graphic artists-- you get a professional dissection of the software's features that absolutely save time in the shop," explains Karen Segura, Communications Manager for Sign Biz Inc. "Believe it or not, this set is free while supplies last for any Members who still need to upgrade."
