"A Very Special Sign Biz
®  Network Convention"

There are times when a plan really comes together. This was one of those times.

(LV, Nevada) The Sign Biz International Convention, dubbed "The Reunion," was hosted in Las Vegas, NV March 24-25th. Now in its 11th year, the Sign Biz Convention took a fresh approach and utilized input from 12 Advisory Board Members to create a new focus on workshops involving Network Members.

A series of twelve "OwnerShare Workshops" was created over a four month period prior to the convention, capitalizing on an instant "bulletin board" system. Input from all Sign Biz Network Members was transmitted instantly via a private message posting system.

This system allowed Sign Biz Inc and the Advisory Board (comprised of elected Members to act as the "ears" of the Network) to focus on the needs of the Members when building a new agenda around workshops to address particular issues.

Attendance at this year's convention was an all-time high. The newly renovated Stardust Hotel notes that the Sign Biz group was the largest of the weekend. Every Network Member received a surprise free upgrade to a luxurious suite. The much anticipated Reunion Party was overflowing with food and drink in the glorious Venetian Hotel. All the ingredients for a very special event were in place.

The results? The twelve workshops were given in 4 time slots over the two-day period. Evaluations were issued after each session, and the reviews were "outstanding," summed one Advisory Board Member. This should not come as a surprise, since the program was built around direct requests from attendees.

The OwnerShare Workshops included: New Shop Owner, Mature Shop, Contracting, ADA, Beginning Digital Print, Advanced Digital Print, Point of Sale Software, and more.

The agenda included a number of general sessions, encompassing the Milestone Awards ceremony, Sales Consultants of the Year Awards, the president's address, and a first time ever award for strongest new store in the Network. This last was bestowed to Sign Biz Network Members Paul and Janice Glaab, who in their first year as business owners grossed $669,000 in sales.

The success of this year's Reunion will become the blueprint for future programs. Next year's convention is slated for the Bahamas, and already the attendance figures indicate a new all-time high.
