Commerce, CA (June 17, 2008)
The California Sign Association, an association of professionals representing manufacturers, suppliers, consumers, and users of signage and visual communication media, today featured industry keynote speaker, Teresa M. Young, for its sixth and final member dinner meeting of the year at Stevens Steakhouse in Commerce, California, on Tuesday, June 17th.
Teresa M. Young, who is Immediate Past Chairwoman of the ISA Board of Directors delivered her popular mini-workshop, "Doing Business Today: What You Don't Know Could Kill You." Young is President and CEO of the Sign Biz corporation, headquarters for the world's largest chain of non-franchised imaging sign companies.
"Among other things, Teresa's presentation told us we need to keep on top of new trends and technology not only in our products and services, but in our operations as well," explains Ray Smith, CSA President. "She made sure everyone took away a mental doggy bag so that we could digest the concepts she presented. It was a packed house, and everyone remained glued to their seats for every bite."
Young frequently addresses new trends and applications, and the role that new ideas and technologies play in shaping the future of any business in the sign industry.
The majority of Young's 24 years in the sign industry have been as CEO and President of Sign Biz, Inc., a business development company and educator for the digital sign and graphics industry. Young has helped existing clients and startups alike create a successful business model and enjoy the rewards of entrepreneurship in the dynamic imaging sign business. In June's 90-minute address, Young investigates ways to create a sustainable competitive advantage a system to use this to achieve business growth goals.
