In-Store Media Resources & Training To Be Offered

April 18, 2005 (Dana Point, CA)  Sign Biz, the nation's largest and most influential chain of royalty-free sign continues to grow with the addition of a digital print media marketing specialist to its team of talented professionals. The company has witnessed dramatic growth in the past; launching of the first on-line sign buyers' resource site in 2001, the expansion of the education center in 2002 and the addition of Top Sales Trainer Mary Silverstone in 2003. 

Continuing this trend of expansion, Sign Biz is pleased to announce the addition of Helene Lohr as New Media Marketing Specialist. Lohr brings considerable talent to the organization, with a strong commitment to training and a proven ability to quickly grasp ideas and effectively communicate concepts to others. 

She has a strong design background and a proven track record of success in production environments, having worked within the Sign Industry and as Lead Designer, Creative Director and Print and Production Manager.

Lohr will focus on developing new business opportunities throughout Sign Biz's targeted markets. Bringing industry knowledge and a strong desire to teach and communicate, Helene is a welcome addition to the growing Sign Biz team. 

The Sign Biz Formal Training Program, in its 11th year as part of a certification in Sign Arts, is known for its thoroughness and its applicability to the small business environment today. Developed by Sign Biz president Teresa M. Young, who was a computer-aided sign industry pioneer and business owner more than 18 years ago, the program is one of only a handful of its kind in the nation for the digital sign industry. 

Other courses include instruction from a number of industry leaders and professionals: Michael Barnes, an award-winning graphic designer is the company's Sign Technology Instructor; Paul K. Strauch, VP Marketing brings not only more than 30 years of experience as a real estate professional, but also delivers a comprehensive industry training that encompasses key vendor relationships for the Sign Biz Network; Young herself delivers a class on the intricacies of materials and labor costs and pricing strategies for new owners.
