Lisa Lyons, daughter of Sign Biz Network Members
Bill and Fran Potts, gave birth on Wednesday,
10/25, to a 10 lb. 5 oz. baby boy named after his
father, Tom Lyons. Tommy Lyons, Jr., is diagnosed
with Hydroplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This is a
congenital abnormality, which qualified Tommy for
a heart transplant by the time the pregnancy was
at 36 weeks. Since his birth two days ago,
medication has been provided to keep a passage in
the heart open, until a suitable donor heart can
be found.
A heart must
be located within a limited time period, based on
Tommy's condition, and until such time and after,
the expenses associated with Tommy's surgery and
care rise very rapidly, and insurance does not
cover all of these costs.
Fund raising
efforts have been undertaken, and in addition to
these, Sign Biz, Inc. has made a contribution to
the Baby Lyons Fund in the amount of $3000, and
is now asking the entire "Sign Biz
Family" to make their donations to assist
the Lyons family. Bill and Fran Potts, whom many
of you have had the pleasure of meeting as your
Hands-On Trainers in the Sign Biz Training
Program, express deep gratitude to all who have
already given to this fund.
